No two days are the same at Hydro Survey which is fantastic. One day it’s topography on a beach in Donegal, the next it’s bathymetry at an abandoned mine in Kilkenny! The variety and breadth of work that we undertake is as intriguing as it is exciting. Each project presents a new challenge, a new hurdle, but there is always a new skill and a sense of satisfaction upon completion. A standout project this year was for a coastal monitoring survey programme in the north-west of Ireland. I was the chief data processor for a large bathymetry and topography dataset and was tasked with writing the report as well as releasing all the deliverables. As the youngest member of the team, it is empowering to be trusted with such responsibilities. The skills I have learned under the tutelage of Hugh, Rob and Chukka will serve me throughout my career which I am very grateful for
